Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section please tell me if I am and/or where the right place to post this is.. But anyway I'm looking to model an engine for Street Legal Racing Redline.. What I need is a good website that I could download nice engines to model or however that'll work.. I'm not lookin' for any engine in particular but you know the basics: stock engines, suped up drag engines, etc.. All will help.. Thanks guys..! :)

if your looking for engine blueprints they are hard to come by. and if you are looking to Download free engines to make blueprints for your self, that is a toughie too, because from what ive noticed the majority of the engines available for download cost around 30-300 usd.

also have you done any modding in SLRR b4?

For any version:
/Cars/Racers - Cars go here
/Parts/Engines - Engines go here
/Parts - All other parts go here

i have emailed toyota, nissan honda, you name it, for CAD/CAM files for engines and the cars themselves, they just wont give them up for some reason, tis a shame, i even asked if money would swing the pendulum, still no go, better off doing by eye XD
when bad weather has passed, birds sing, so why cant us humans learn to be happy and sing a song after a bad encounter?

when im 80+ years old, im gonna be the only one flirting in the nursing home. FuckYeah.

Thanks guys, I appreciate you taking some time to respond to me.. :) Modeling one by eye could be hard for a beginner modeler like me.. Andyflag, to answer your question, yes I have modded SLRR.. I have a good amount of mods from cars to spoilers and rims etc but only a few engines and they aren't as good as I would like and there's isn't really a big variety of choices of good engines since I have 2.3.0 LE.. A lot of the engines I wanted were for 2.2.0 and stuff.. And do you know any of the few websites where I could download engines to model..? It's disappointing how the heart of a car to model would cost so much money lol.. I guess I could look up pics of engines and go by eye like suggested unless there's an easier way?

Wow dude that's really good! I wish I could be that good.. I always screw up something and do you have any tips/tricks maybe you could help me out with on how u got that to be that good.. And I know it's WAY early for me to be asking but how do you get the parts to be their parts, I don't really know how to word it.. For example, how would you get the crankshaft to be removable and be its own functional part so it'll be workable in SLRR?

I have a folder of about 200+ Reference pictures of the BMW M50 engine (also had on in my Shed for better Reference)

Basically just search the web for the engine your looking for some one out there had built one.

and for parts u model them piece by piece to begin with so its simple to export each piece them selfs

Oh build piece by piece? Would I have to import them or something later? And that looks very complicated but very worth it lol 'cuz it looks sick

no u can do it all in the same scene, just make sure to align everything to where it goes.

Yeah this one needs to remodeled for the hmm 7th time i believe still have the size off by a lot, and details that are missing.

How can you tell the size of a something you are modeling or do you just find out by puttin' it in the game 'cuz at the moment I'm almost done modeling a muffler and I'm not sure where to go after I do finish it.. Considering it's ok..
