ive already put a k&n air filter on it, but seems as noone has tuned the 1.4, im gonna do it:)

if you guys have any input as to what mods will work well on this engine please do so, as im not finding many performance parts for it, if its any use its a TU3JP roller rocker engine

step one: get a proper car. it sounds hard. but this will never get fast or handle good. or you will need to spend a whole lot of bucks into it. engines will always respond well to an over bore or forced induction.

its actually quite a decent car tbh, and it was really really cheap with full service history ect. also the fact i cant afford another car, but i can afford to mod it a bit, i.e alloys/a few engine mods:) but i do see where your coming from, not the best car in the world, but it got a good chassis going for it.

wel exhaust intake. maybe 20 horses. its not a big engine. so not manny gasses will leave. injectors dont have many purpose because you dont have much more air going in it.

dont know how much flowing the heads will do. but youll need to take off the heads.

only thing worth: camshaft or forced induction. anyway both need ignition retiming to get the most Hp

then somethings on the chassis. it doesnt handle exactly great.

yeahh im hoping to get a catback or something soon, ordered a kent pt40k prior to your recommendation and hopefully fitted end of this week, there will be pics! yeahh not he best handling car, but a definately solid feel to it, should be quite good with a decent shock/spring setup and some nce 17 inch alloys.

Guess who got itb's? ;) awhhh yeahh

it was a bit of a jump to what I had in mind originally, but loving god do they sound nice!

also I know that usually you need a standalone, but this throttle body setup has all sensors and injectors, so im gona try to run it with the stock ECU and hopefully it will work

also ordered a catback for this but it hasn't come yet.

ill get some more pictures of it as I build it up, its gonna be a bit of a Frankenstein though.

Added 9 minutes later:

actually, I just remembered, I still have the unichip that I saved from my mini before I got rid of it

I believe that I should be able to run itb's using this, although, I will probably need to have it dyno tuned for it to work at all.

...why are you so autistic?

Mod it at will. I have a thing for underdogs. I don't think you'll be able to call it a sleeper per se, but it can definitely be made to be impressive for what it is. I don't have the slightest clue what these cars have as for a power plant, but you can always go for the obvious route. Header and high-flow exhaust, intake (which you have) and possibly cam gears for some timing adjustment. Other than that would be maybe more fuel, but that would take an AFC, wideband, and some fine tuning, which I'm sure is out of your price range right now.

haha thanks:) im saving up for headers, atm the clutch is going too now, but im getting that done cheap, so while im at it im putting a stage 1 organic just to be safe, yeahh wideband is a little far out of reach, but ill have it in the future, the best about this setup, is that the injectors are seated in the head itself behind the valves, meaning, if at some point in the future i require it, i could setup the injectors that are in the itb's i had with it, although could be complicated, the engine itself is a 1.4 8v with 75bhp standard, hoping for around the 120 range after a fast road cam and manifold, but as nobody really tunes these engnes, its hard to tell.

Ahh with such small displacement, a bolt on turbo kit may be a good investment for power eventually.

yeahh would be a good investment, but i dont knw how much boost it will take, and i cant afford bottom end work, mind you i could try using a thick head gasket to reduce the CR bit.
