haha don't worry your time will come when you will wish the opposite.

working on shit absolutely sucks, especially when you're not doing any performance upgrades.

Nah, I love it. When I owned both my miatas, the smallest things in the world were fun to me. I raced in the local SCCA too, so I got to enjoy it a ton, right now I'm paying off debts and sold my last miata before our second baby. Done with kids now and ready to get back into it all, but on one income, with a family of four and a wife with a serious autoimmune disease makes it difficult to get by :( But yea, eventually, and hopefully my time will come.

Pretty much. Many of us also don't have a lot of time

yea , if i had a job doing 40-60 hours a week then forget it. wouldn't ever be able to do anything. i'm already busy as it is.

i will tell you though, im pretty sick of working on cars, lately I feel like thats I'll ive been doing.

aside from what I post on these forums, I have been working on a lot of other projects too like a jag swap in a e12 bmw, e21 project, an e30 project and helping with other stuff like vw's (the worst) and various shit like trucks etc.

little update.

decided to hang on to the rover instead of sell it.

picked up some new cooper discoverer tires for it. these are slightly skinnier and slightly taller than the oem size.

i wanted something good in the snow but also good year round and some slight off road. these were super cheap and looked great so i grabbed them.

the rover had some things piling up on the to-do list. finally i made some time to get around to that.

had to replace one of the brake lines that runs from the rear to the front.

rear driver caliper was stuck and rear passenger caliper slides were stuck.

front passenger had air in the line.

essentially the rover was down to one wheel braking lol. rough.

took care of all that, definitely wasn't fun. got new rotors and pads for the rear while i was in there. new brake hose too why not.

finally it was ready to head out of my shop and over to my buddies shop to mout the tires. just in time for the snowfall.

after going for the first drive since last spring, realized my wipers were shot and both my headlight low beams were out. stopped and picked up both of those and i also went and grabbed a new battery too.

Just got done with everything today and the rover seems 100% ready to roll again. ready for some bad weather and some trips to the mountain for skiing/snowboarding.

next thing i have to do is fix the tailgate, the hinges are very weak and i thinks going to fall off soon LOL. everything else seems solid so far !
