People seem to be having questions about the future of SLRR, with whether we should mod a new game, stick with SLRR, or leave entirely.

What do you think?

As for me, I am done with SLRR for a while.
It is a pain to mod, and requires time. Something most of us do not have. :))
I think this community should remain. Just because some of us are done, does not mean we all should be. ;)

Questions, comments, or concerns are welcome!

P.S. Poll is optional. Just thought it would be fun to add. :))

There are so many possibilities with its current 'engine', no matter how old it is. Adding new game features (as I've done in some of my own private builds of it)is still possible, and we could even make an entire new 'base' out of it for the new age, like 2.2.1 MWM was back in 2005.

That would be awesome :) You don't need to make an entirely new game to remake it.

It isn't really a pain to mod when you get involved with it, there are so many things you can do with the script.

In my opinion, you could make a new game, but have it as a sort of 'side project' where being SL2 is still left as it is with its community/mods, and the new game has a sort of separated modding community of its own.

Just don't kill the classic!

Cant control what people do. Even if nobody mods anymore there will still be somebody playing it somewhere.

I think the real question is what to do with this site. If a new slrr thing comes out then I guess we could focus this site entirely on that.

I'm only going to leave this here. SLRR got a powerful base. I'm not going to lie about this, this game have a big potential to go ahead and we stay on it!

And it's true this. And about script it's easy to script and create a lot of new things. I know a guy who is working on a new version based on 2.2.1 and my words for it are: THAT SHIETTTT IS FOCING AWESOME!!!!! Using same base same engine codes he have discovered how make digital speed gauge for cars and electronic placards for tracks like drag strips final placard that shows car time and speed! This only shows how powerful this game is!
If people don't want to stay on SLRR the best thing to do is a new game with a new engine!

The level of tuning in SLRR is something never seen before and, sadly, neither after. Project R is truly awesome, the pity is that all the good mods made for SLRR will be lost because no one has the original files and most of the modders quit.
What killed the community have been the VIP mods.
