So, I know I probably do too many of these, but a personal opinion is always nice, and new people are always coming and going, but I've again hit a point where I'm wondering what I should focus on the most when it comes to game development... I have a few projects listed below, so please, choose as you wish.

Cλscade - An obvious giveaway in the title, the Half-Life saga has never been completed, and although Black Mesa does exist, it's not really suit to my liking. Will include games 1 to the mysterious, and the secretive 3. Other cool stuff will be included to keep your interest, but I will not say.

Street Racing Evolution - A Street Legal successor that has been through many stages, and has had a name change, and even had a bunch of assets scrapped and redone. Will include a large variety of cars, and multiplayer if possible.

Whiplash - A Burnout successor with many elements from all games clumped together, and a large variety of cars with 3 locations to race and crash in.

Other - this includes some of my scrapped ideas, concepts, or ideas that I am considering. Destruction Tournament: Carnage (DT Carnage remaster) [SCRAPPED], Speed Dreamin' (A remake of the old Test Drives and Demolition Racer) [IN THOUGHT], Redwreck (A banger racing game inspired by Eve of Destruction, and Flatout) [SCRAPPED], Calling All Units (A voxel based Police and Military FPS) [CONCEPT], The London Break (A GTA-inspired open world game set in London) [CONCEPT]

Whiplash Evolution which has the customization level of redline with the fast paced racing and destruction of burnout, of course you'll have to work out the damage functions so that you can destroy the car in a crash but still zoom back to the game with only a slightly crashed car that gets worse with every wreck but The one thing I always thought was missing in burnout was a deeper customization.

I don't plan on much for Whiplash... Just cars with custom variants and interchangeable decals.

Then, and this might just be a good idea to me, make whiplash a multiplayer mode of SR:E. Focus on the bigger piece, being SR:E, Get it nice a playable and throw that in as a bonus. Sometimes the sidegame ends up being more popular than expected, but if it's not for the end user, they still have the core game.

My example given is to look at what zombies did for cod5 [email protected] That first map was a prototype and the game mode was mostly developed and dialed in after release.

Do it all, some people might ask why, but I say why not?

STE is a good focus. I agree with Krimzon's idea. Though if you don't want to add a side game when you do build something, you can do just the game.

I like that you're thinking about doing something with half life, Great games, but since they released the source for 2 there are already tons of mods and total conversions for the half life saga, but the real enticing part about that is the source is available, I'd rather see something new and innovative built from it, portal was amazing, CS has its place too, and I like the idea of team fortress but imho the cube2 engine does that concept better simply for the instant mapping tools. If you're goin to use HL engine try for new idea's. Just my opinion, which usually isn't worth much [=

No, I didn't plan on using source, and I planned on making the game feel much different without actually changing much. I did plan on putting my own twists to it, such as making HL2 more like the beta, while following the story of the retail game. Of course though, I have more interesting things up my sleeve planned for it. Again, I won't say because I don't want to cause overhype, but I can do my best.
