Hello.I want some help.I have a 3d model.And I want to put it in the game.It is a gauge.But it wants a texture.But how I can make the custom texture.I know how to edit a texture but I dont know how to make a custom texture for a new model.Please help.

explain plz , the 3d is on the scx format ?
Do you have a tex file ? Or a texture ?
Make a texture for a 3d isnt slrr , go learn it with 3ds max

You got 2 ways, make the texture then map the 3d according to the texture you made or get the map of the 3d you got and make the texture according the map!

I have wondered how to correctly get the map, also.
Usually, (I do it the wrong way) :)) in 3dsmax, I go to the modifiers tab, and select UV Map.
By doing this, you can move the object around the texture, getting it to fit "kinda" right.

Fireful0.Thanks for your answer but I believe that this method is for a ready texture.I need the map of the model to make the texture.

I found these tutorials were easy enough to follow, if you know your basics which you appear to, then you shouldn't have much trouble.

how good is ur knowlage with 3dsm ? and Unwrap UVW Modifier?

i'd "strip" clean model in 3dsm, then Unwrap UVW Modifier to make it "planar" and so on...

So, you need to make the texture for it?
Oh, ok!
I would just create a texture the way you want it, then use the Unwrap UV Modifier, as _Dave said, to shape it to fit the object.
