2018-01-19 06:19#287390 Outlaw_Racer : Hi! WHOAA 4a-ge sounds awesommeee thanks for this mod, the same day I downloaded these sounds, I was playing for like legit 6 hours around Valo city driving with toda exhaust until late hours..
Once again these sounds are mad!
So what plans do you have since you done with this no doubt harder to make mod?

Tanks Outlaw. Now you can see what I am working on....

Leaving a bit of the sounds and working on some script ideas, I decided to do this Launch Control mod just for fun, since it doesn't make sense to use it because physics in slrr are shit (the more the tires spin, the faster you will accelerate).

Now from the block you have the "Launch" value and you can assign rpm values between Idle and Redline. (Basically, when you press the "R" key, the Redline RPM takes the Launch RPM value, and when you press again, the Redline RPM comes back to his original value. But there are some problems:

* Every time you activate/desactive the launch mode, the game freezes for less than a second, but you can noticed. It is caused by the call to the method "forceUpdate()", this method is neccesary to apply the redline changes ingame.
* When a vee block or engine (v8, v6, v12, etc) appears, the game crashes.
* I can buy a turbo or even a complete engine with turbo, but when a try to install the engine or the turbo in the car, the game chrashes too.

So, if anyone who really knows about the scripts of the game wants to help me, i will send the files.

I realized that what caused the crashes was the Block.java (global file) that was from version 2.2.1 (not mwm). And I'm sure because I've tested it without the lines of my mod.
The Block.java of the mwm version is not included in the download of "mwm beta java pack", so for now I fix the crashes using the files Block_vee.java and Turbocharger.java of version 2.2.1.
As for the freezing of every time I activate/deactivate the launch control, I think it is inevitable, although it is not so annoying either, as I said, is less than a second.

Then it's something wrong there because MWM uses stock 2.2.1 block.java like major javas from parts\scripts

Yes, your'e right, I thought my game was mwm, but it's really mwm2le so that's why the block.java was causing problems. Anyways,I installed a clean game with the mwm version and it worked without problems. It also worked on the BigBoss version because I uses his Track.java (with his permission).

Luanch control limits your engine at a certan rpm.but for turbo setup it retards timing pulling it to a fake load so that it goes into boost rather than vacuum.so the turbo starts spooling under load so that you can pull away under boost.

Added 4 minutes later:

And the correct method of engaging luanch is to keep the switch pressed in. As soon as you leave the luanch button it revs as normal again. If you can make it so that you keep a button depressed and soon as you release the button luanch disengages.

The mod alredy limits your engine at a certain rpm.I tried using the pneumatic suspension key (which works as a pushbutton and not as a switch) but it doesn't works, the game crashed without giving errors in the error.log. And as for the turbo, I can not change the operation without the base codes (which only the craters have). The turbo in the game has no lag.
