So, my budget is around 500-600 euro. I want an i5 processor, but my problems are here:
1,4 or 1,6 or 2,5 Mhz?
BRAND? Does it matter?
And the big problem of them all... video card... I want nVidia, and the choices in my area are 710M, 720M and 740M but this one is a bit rare...

I kinda like ASUS... So any advice? Thanks.

If you choose a laptop with the 740M make sure it's the 128bit one. 64 bits sucks my laptop has a 1GB 6470M 64bit and it's rubbish and it bottlenecks my CPU. so my advice would be get the most powerfull laptop on your budget but first research their hardware and compare them to see if you are getting more bang for your buck.

Depending on your needs. If it's high end games such as Battlefield and things like that, go the 2.5GHz processor. If it's just for surfing the net, basic things then I'd say 1.6GHz. But if it's for gaming, definitely go the 2.5GHz. Well those graphics cards are kinda similar so any of those would do. Sure theres a difference between 710 and 740, but either will do you great. But in my opinion, you can get a desktop that is 10x better. But that's my opinion. :)

Found this one in my price range:

Laptop Asus 17.3'' X75VB-TY038D, Procesor Intel® Core™ i5-3230M 2.6GHz Ivy Bridge, 4GB, 500GB, GeForce GT 740M 2GB, Black

I am not a gaming freak... a bit SLRR and that's it... I really don't have much time to play.
Also my work kinda demands a laptop...
I will use it basically for internet, music, movies and then gaming.

That sounds good, maybe overkill if you only play SLRR, but it'll do it all great.

Well, if you only play SLRR, then you don't need that strong laptop, and if you need him for your job, and internet, try finding something that has SSD, because they are much much faster than HDD.
Would love to be a Beta tester for any mod for MWM version. PM me!

HDD's work just as good, as long as you don't fill ya hard drive right up. Not to mention decent sized SSD's cost a lot. But I reckon you should get that one, especially if later on you decide to play different games. You always got to think about future proofing your laptop/desktop.

That's exactly why I want a medium end laptop... Also I want to keep it some years without upgrading it.

FIRST THING to check out is the cooling. This is the huge mistake i made when i bought mine. Specs were fine, but when i unboxed it and installed gta 4 i noticed my prob. After 10 mins of gameplay (added "low end" pc patches and stuff, graphics set to lowest) lagg appeared. Then it lasted for few seconds and normal fps returned. Aaaand after some mins of play the same thing happened again and again. After some searching i found out that this is caused by heating. EVEN SLRR causes this kind of lag when i use high poly cars (cant use ENB, so stock graphics).
When speaking of ENB, u can forget about it if you buy a laptop with integrated + standalone video card. ENB will then work only with the integrated card and you cant get it working with the nvidia card. At least not slrr since it doesn't have enbinjector.
But if you want to use this laptop for everyday use and some SLRR i think it is more than fine as long as the cooling is okay. Search for some reviews of this laptop and then make a decision.
