Incredibly frustrating how unrealistic the gear shift is. I have searched
every java I can and can't find any reference.

If someone can change this I will make you a unique 3D model of your request.

Sorry to bribe but I really want faster shifting, I have made new physics that make racing a car fast a totally new experience but the gear shifting lets it down.

Cheers guys.

wonder if it could be worked around by using a external "trainer" like application to force it into gear or speedup the :clutch time during shifting
which is what I think needs adjusting.

Hmm. After thinking about it I don't think the clutch has anything to do with it. Since the rate at which it changes gear doesn't seem to be affected by clutch at all. Not sure though, I'll dive into it some more.

Try lowering or making inertia higher in transmission.java

Added 13 minutes later:

Also try doing it for clutch, flywheel also

Added 5 minutes later:

Or just delete the whole line XD

Current Project's:
Custom MainMenu Project (%65)
Working on text alignment.
Shift 2 Sounds (CANCELED)
Working on different sound sources.
Custom Physics (%30 ON HOLD)
I dunno, I like mindelizz physics too much.

Overall the seems to change the speed in which the engine rpms go up and down.

:-(, going to put a video together for you now

Inertia in the engine parts doesn't do anything. If you look at Block.java or Chassis.java (can't remember which one), you'll find that Invictus never finished the method to add up the inertia for all engine parts, and so it's controlled centrally through the engine.
