Nice but does the car really understeers this much through out a whole turn in real life? I mean..doesn't it get more grip or actually rotate a bit? I'm no expert but just saying

physics are a very complicated thing. its so difficult to tune the world / tire physics in its own. Then you worry about the way this car behaves, should it understeer like that, should it not ? What is the alignment and suspension setup on this car, is it correct to the real world vehicle too ?

Too many factors going into this, so its hard to really pin point what should be adjusted.

I think wichur is just trying to get the physics basics the best he can first.

Testing FWD car setup and:
- fixed skid sounds
- fixed engine sound (back to uni3d sound system) with doppler effect
- fixed engine/clutch calculating
- fixed wheel pacejka calculating

Still to do:
add clutch on startup
add engine stall and starter

nice.
hopefully we will see real time reflections soon as well ;)
Physics feel quite bulky or smth, if im using the correct word. At least from the video. But keep up the good work! Looks very promising.

why the switch back to unity for sound? whats wrong with FMOD? seemed much better and sounds good for the future of the project. i'm sure you have a good reason though.

latest video looks real good, it seems like to me the tires squeel / slip too soon / easily. i think they should have a bit more grip before making noise or slipping. IMO.

might be wrong idk, this shit seems so tricky.

FMOD is to much complicated to use effects, filters, etc. In unity3d playing sounds is basicly easy. FMOD is better i know. Maybe in future i back to it. but
"MAYBE".

With more grip i implement calculation of maximum-optimal angle of steering. It's better. Some clutch values are fixed. Testing on FWD,RWD,4WD car setups.
Mext to do is implement scripts to works with garage mechanic system with changing part parameters. Will be good ;-)
I don't know when I do it. Still not have models of car parts.
First to do is fix all bugs in physics.

I forgot make AI code ;-) Must make it before garage, then make like race game :D
