Making damage system (is not softbody)

Quick question. What option are you using to make the damage model possible? I've thought about buying Truss Physics,(BeamNG Crashes, and quite real physics)or finding some way to do some sort of deformation model. I'll have to make a Poll.

I use myself deformation system. It's simple mesh deformation after impact.

I tested TrussPhysics:

But probably will not use in my project (no money to buy it)

I find and downloaded only for tests. Will not use, to many problems with implement in my current mechanics system :)
