Okay, so in theory this map is impossible to make?

Depending on how big Valo is I would think this map should be able to happen. :( but if not, guess I'm on to trying to convert an rFactor map, cuz now I want to do SOMETHING map-wise.

@Sterling: yes i know it fill take some weeks or months but think how cool it would be!
Everyone is waiting for some more tracks and stuff ,but this is like so big map and if we can scripts some races like 2 or 4 then it would be awesome.. and maybe some challenges aswell..

@Harrison15: I know it would be hard to convert it but like i said to Sterling it would be so cool :D

Yeah.. Someone has made them like Rfactor pack or something but it didnt have any working DL link... I would wait for it :D

but how about SLRR Traffic?? I think we have to do more fake_racers then.. i didnt plan to get the traffic cars in nfsw (but it would be awesome) only it just extra work..

But if converter could try then why not?

Hi i think the proyect is to big to be done , is a great idea ,
time ago i was thinking about the nfsUndregraund 2 map conversion will be so cool.

But a guy do a part of the most wanted map(so small portion)so import is posible
i think a small portion of the city must be the start point, and spand it ,

I remember that the game has a poly limit or something

The trafic i think is imposible to be realice

to have fake racers you would need races. And to have races you would need more time and work to make races happen. And honestly that would be cool, but it's not worth the effort.

as far as traffic, At this point I may just convert the cars and put them in Valo. Cause everyone is saying that traffic would be impossible to make. That combined with the fact I'm a noob modder, means bad news.

about traffic:

there could be a new custom way of doing this and it only utilizses global position vectors

making virtual bots follow a point defined and running in some kind algorithem that "follows the new map". Then this point reported to the bot which will always "follow": that location.

raceBot4.driveStraightTo( new Vector3(floating point vector driven externally) );

This point is usually like the finish line of a drag track.

The control algorithem for this could be achieved with poins placed in various intersections. Then interpolation between two points over a time interval. This translate into a moving point without defiing an absurd amount of splines/ points/ and other stuff

I know this will work since I'm using a very simialr method coiding my online multiplayer :)

Sorry I'm a bit over optimistic about this but also: if you do not want to work around interpolation and time derivatives.

The other method is still have have points at various intersections. Then upon the bot arriving a certain distance from the desired intersection, it randomly picks an adjoing intersection point ***excluding the previously called intersection point (to prevent bot going back and forth)

Botlocator = raceBot4.car.getOri();

range = (current intersection global position)- Botlocator;

if(range( dot product ) < (some defined vector magnitude))
{
current intersection = new intersection;
}

this is just code written out. but some new variables would have to be defined. And a "new intersection" point randomizing algorithm would have to made.

Bot "skill" can easily be changed so that they go traffic speeds.

A lot of this stuff is hidden in the main scr code for the game and in the test track sources (which I have). There is some pretty nifty things you can do.

basically the cop cars work by following points generated bt the "Get origin script" as well as the follow command for the bot. However it is following the players origin location
