I am for "Modified"... It explains everything :D But it should be the second name. Something like "Street Racing: Modified" or "Modified: Street Racing". :D

Maybe "Street Tuning: Racing Elite"?

Then each version can continue a new name.

(Street Tuning: _________)

I am putting this because the names on the vote don't seem to fit with the game.

Yeah, it needs to be something like "Street Tuning:_________". Personally, "Street Racing: Tune" sounds really cheesy lol.

Damn, people are really bad at coming up with names...

...so am I, but let's try!

"Tuning Eclipsed" (Thanks, 3rd option on the poll)
I like how the word "Eclipse" sounds and the fact that there's the association to a spectacular event.

"Redline 2018" (or any other year)
(or just) "Redline"
Redline works as a nice callback to SLRR, and just sorta sounds nice. The year number makes it sound a bit nicer, but the problem is, once the game ages a bit, having the number of a previous year will make it seem kind of old, unless updated yearly.

Hm, thinking about it, you really have to consider, what images and associations come to mind upon hearing the name and weather they seem exciting.
Of course, a lot of this is very subjective, so it has to be quite universal.
Say, "V-Tune" would be kind of blank to many, since nothing V-related might come to mind, while to others, it could associate to the V engine type, VTEC or perhaps V-Rally.

It also can't be too descriptive. The name should be a bit mysterious, for example, Need for Speed, Burnout, Split/Second, Assetto Corsa, FlatOut, Midnight Club, Street Legal, Gran Turismo and Juiced. None of these really describe, what's unique about the games and have some level of mystery.
Something like "Street Racing: Tune" is AWFUL, since it pretty much describes the entire game: Tuning and racing!

The name shouldn't dictate the content of the game too much. If you call it anything "Street" related, it eliminates a lot of the buyer's hope, that there might be rally, stunting, offroading, track racing or anything else in the game.
...unless street racing really is the only thing planned for the (base) game, which would make it a downgrade from SLRR.
For example, this is why "Downforce" wouldn't work. While the name is actually good, it immediately associates the game to racing, where downforce is very important, like LMP or any other high-end racing discipline.

Of course, remember that the cover art (or the little Steam image) exists, that can be used to tell a lot more about the game than the title ever should!
This means, you can get away with names, that are only loosely related to the game itself.

...seriously, if it ends up named Street Racing: Tune, I'll probably break something!

Yeah I also don't like this name, sounds like some cheap mobile game but I don't care, we've been waiting for the new SLRR for ages, so as long as the game get's done, they can call it Street Racing: Potato, I actually don't care.

Well, the name has to imply that the game is based on TUNING, sure driving might also be good but tuning is what gave the original SLRR a second chance and what the new game will be mostly based around. The name should also bring more people, not associated with SL series in any way. It should also be a name associated with tuning, I've come up with only a few ideas. I'm not good at names, and you can give feedback.

Midnight Tune
SL Tuner
Full Tune
Redline (A simple name that calls-back SLRR)
"If in doubt, flat out"

The name doesn't matter but I'm surprised there's that many votes for a name that doesn't make much sense. Short names are better IMO.
