I keep getting distracted by other games, but have made some progress today with the RB sounds:

Using some different samples this time. Also made the turbos a bit quieter and added a unique ignition sound.

Let me know what you guys think of it compared to the other samples, personally I like the new ones better but I'd like to hear some opinions.

Antilag limiter might need a bit of work as well

I've been noticing lately that when I record things ingame, they always sounded a bit "tinny" and not exactly how I would hear them. I think I've finally fixed the problem though, so this opens up a few more possibilities for sounds for me (as well as making the preview videos sound better too).

Along with working on the RB sounds, I might do yet another version of the EJ25 sounds, because the DiRT Rally ones are so good they need to be ported over. Going to prioritize it over the RB26 sounds but I do intend to work on both and give them both a release sooner or later.

Added 8 hours later:

EJ progress AGAIN:

As mentioned above, using DiRT Rally for the sounds this time around, and recorded a new turbo spool sound from Horizon 3 as well as an ignition sound from a YT video. Let me know what you guys think.

LamboFreak, I think you should do something different than rb sounds because all the slrr players soon will be using 9kRPM's pure mod sounds only and those sounds are well-made, so to avoid having pure sounds mod as an opponent try making something else. I'm not hating your sounds but helping .
Good luck.

Do some better vids with proper acceleration, so transition between sounds can be heard. I can't understand a thing from those fast ass revvings, plus stuff sounds off

I'm with both of last quotes from Outlaw_Racer and IceD,
Talk with 9kRPM and you both can divide work making a lot more engines sounds with a lot of quality, in my opinion you 2 are ones of the best ones in sounds from active guys, so if one of you can do sounds for 10 cars and the other for other 10 different cars it will make a huge quantity of quality sound mods without having 3 or 4 good sounds for one single engine!
As IceD said only revving we can't ear well the loop of the sounds so we can't help with feedback from the videos. But revving is good, we just wanna know if driving it, it still sounds good!

Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea at all. Might work on something other than RB sounds after this is finished then.

I usually do make videos driving around the Nurburgring, but I was a bit short on time and wanted to get a video out quick. I'll make another video sometime today after messing with a few of the sounds.

Here's a more detailed vid, fps got messed up on it though but still going to put it here:

Track driving starts around 40 seconds in.

Also heard the turbo mess up at one point just now, maybe that's what i should fix first lol

Your rb sound sounds too different than mine, yours sounds more like paul's skyline :D , so i dont think that are opponents. You should keep working on it if you like it, and still learnig, even I'm still learning about sound.
By the way, in your sounds, I hear a small cut when you leave the throttle. That's because you're probably using the same samples in two different tables (getSfxTable (0) and getSfxTable (1)). You have to use the getSfxTable (2) table or duplicate the samples to have two typeid for each and use tables 0 and 1. If you choose the last option you can also edit the samples you use in table 1 with an equalizer to make it sound different from the samples in table 0.

Thanks for uploading these, Sterling! It's going to help a lot with the sounds I make.

Did this just now and the transition between sounds is miles better now! Thanks for this.

Still a bit of cut when revving from idle to rev limiter, but that's about it
