I've been wandering back and forth, and i haven't found the solution, so I'm asking for a helping hand.

I've been fixing some mods lately, and a couple of them have their body parts always in the catalog, even while I switch to a different car. They are just there.

¿Where did I made the mistake? ¿How to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for trying, but that wasn't helpful at all...

EDIT: Never mind, found the way myself.

If you assign directly a catalog super ID to a part, it will appear for every car. You have to create a new category linked to that super ID first, assign it a type ID, and then refer the parts you want to that type ID.

Caballo, that's really helpful, I had noticed a rescript I worked on was doing this and now I know how to fix it for the update. Thank you.

I have the civic I worked on set up like that Gorgoil but in 2.2.1 LE2MWM the parts still show for all cars. doesn't for 2.3.1 though.

edit: I'm fairly certain I'll also have to set the parent Id's in rpk, at least to make it work right in LE2MWM.

2017-04-15 15:54#282151 gorgoil : or just open the javas of the car parts that's showing in all cars parts and change carCategory from COMMON to PACKAGE.

That was the first step I took, and it doesn't work. At least not in 2.2.1.

I can make a more elaborated example if you need one now I know how to do it.

I understand what you're saying completely, and I know how to implement it myself now that you've brought it to light. You might work on a well structured tut and drop it in the tutorial section as it is definitely a helpful piece of info.

I can confirm that what Gorgoil mentioned works in 2.3.1, maybe even 2.3.0, but as we both noticed it isn't enough for 2.2.1.

This is what I did to fix the Fox body stock/replacement catalog. Same principle applies to parts appearing in every catalog. Just posting this here for people who search for this answer so they can copy & paste it.
