Lower the number=better the quality? I assume that is correct but It may also help TBM here to have that confirmed.

Ok.I will look at it.

Added 14 minutes later:

Only something I dont know how to do.How do I scale it to the size I want.I want it 19 inch and rim resizer doesn work this time.

Added 12 hours later:

I followed your tip sterling about the LOD,I smoothed it a little bit and now it is very nice

Now I want to find the perfect scale and how I will export it as a single mesh.

Added 8 minutes later:

As you can see this is my workshop now.I have problem with textures.I have problmes with Swatchbin2DDS.It converts the swatchbin to dds but the texture doesnt open with none of the programs I use to edit dds.(I mean Paint.net)It gives me error.I will try 3DSimED.

Added 40 minutes later:

I discovered that the texture is damaged. So I use a paintable material from Vstance to be better.

You can also use gimp 2.x and the dds plugin

when you *export* as dds you'll use BC2/DXT3 Compression and You may also want to delete all mipmap layers and regenerate them when you export.

I bet they wont open in gimp.

& this kind of explains why.

Just tested and they open in Gimp, with the dds plugin installed of course [=

Edit: well the first file I tested was for the rear seats and it opened but when I tried to open for lod/swatches/ interior_diff it would not open, so it appears some textures won't open but some will.

files in "ao" (which holds parts textures) and "wiper" folders will open in gimp but might as well not use it if it can't work with them all.

Got the unopenable files to open after using dds converter found Here But at that point you could just use it to convert to file type of choice instead of using Gimp so I stand corrected. Thank you Sterling for bringing that up, and if the dds plug for gimp ever gets support for the dx10 header I'll be sure to share the news.

Edit(like 5): sorry for all the edits but real quick, if I remember correctly Gimp can use PS Plugs for a while now actually so I'll test to see if the intel ps plug works, and let you know.

Edit(Like 6 or something): looking at the files it probably won't work with the cubemap scripts as gimp doesn't support that type.

the gimp plug also doesn't support BC7 compression, but supports everything else so maybe it's not far off to think it will get an update, It is a linux tool after all.

I actually didn't look into the textures much until today & just stumbled across the information I print screened.

Thanks for vouching for GIMP working, I couldn't be bothered to test myself as I thought it might not work... I tried many other things before.

Not a problem, just a side effect of me being a Gimp fanboy. I'd use linux over windows if only everything else I dabbled in had programs or support on linux, but even wine can't run everything.

Gimp only loads the files with DX10 headers after unclicking "use DXT10 header" when converting with dds converter, so if you need to edit the textures you can use Gimp but if you don't need to edit you could probably just use the dds converter to make them jpg's or png's.

Keep in mind I also don't know what Max needs for textures because I haven't got that far either, I'm here to learn as well.
