This is how it looked for most of its lifetime

A couple of weeks ago I finally arsed myself to cut the hole in the side

It looks like a piece of crap, because I absolutely love all kinds of sleepers (well, cars mostly) I got the case itself from a recycling center for 2 bucks. I think it's from around 1997-98, it even has a Celeron badge in the front:lol

Inside:
MSI P43 Neo motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3,16GHz
2x2GB A-DATA Gaming Series 800MHz RAM
Club3D ATI RADEON HD4870 512MB Overcloked
Chieftec 750W PSU
200GB Seagate HDD

Wow, you have a real refrigerator, since that's not really high performance stuff or anything. The 1000W PSU is real overkill, because even for my HD4870, 750W is a bit too much already.

But yea, my comp does get quite hot actually. It's mostly the HD4870, because that shit gets HOT AS HELL and that case doesn't have very good airflow. Right now, it's kinda cold in this room and the top is off, so it idles around 46C, with the fan at 30%. Haven't checked load temps in a while, but I guess they're somewhere around 70-80C.
I'm gonna get a bigger CPU cooler(inbox one atm:lol) sometime soon, because the damn thing gets really hot while playing SLRR on my Autobahn track, for some odd reason. The HD4870 needs a new cooling solution too, probably some time after the warranty is over, maybe August. I was thinking of getting a very big heatsink that's used for passive cooling and stick on a couple of 120mm fans:lol

i no the 1KW psu is overkill, my dad bought it for me xD - 750-800w is enough.

i no how to fix airflow. fill the side case with fans and cut a hole in the top! xD

Yes, but that would kill the vintage look completely. Though, the one hole in the side already did that:D
And I don't have room on the top, if you look at the pic, theres like 8cm of space between the DVD drive and PSU. Oh and I usually like to put stuff on my PC:lol

added through 1 minute

I need to mount another fan at the front, so the side one will blow in and the front one out. That's the only reasonable solution I can think of.
