Did you play the beta ? Bugs or not, it was insanely entertaining. Very nice gun customization, and the Combat Mission game mode was a very nice addition - gives it an authentic feel since it involves different objectives. And I like how this time DICE really changed a lot of what we mentioned, it looks like it's a lot more improved and they also learned a thing or two from the mistakes of Bad Company 2.

What I don't like is the lack of prone and lean in multiplayer, as these do appear in singleplayer but not in multiplayer. Also the destructible stuff has been toned down a lot, the fact that I couldn't really feel any bullet penetration through thin surfaces in the beta and the reload animations, which were wrong in the beta, just as in BFBC2, because they never chamber a round after inserting the new magazine when the gun is empty.

Holy shit... that thing looks intense...

I'm starting to get interested on some games of this kind. The last one I played was CoD4 on my lappy... so now I should get a better experience with the warrior 8600GT lol

Never played any of the BF games... Anything you guys recommend?

Every Battlefield game in the series :trollface So you can start right now : Battlefield 1942 (PC), Battlefiled 1942 : Road to Rome (expansion, PC), Battlefield 1942 : Secret Weapons of WW2 (expansion, PC), Battlefield Vietnam (PC), Battlefield 2 (with booster packs included for free since patch 1.5, PC), Battlefield 2 : Special Forces (expansion, PC), Battlefield 2 : Modern Combat (Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS2 - Xbox version multiplayer shut down by EA) Battlefield 2142 (PC), Battlefiled 2142 : Northern Strike (expansion, PC), Battlefield Heroes (free, cartoon graphics, PC), Battlefield : Bad Company (Xbox 360, Playstation 3), Battlefield 1943 (small game, 15$, Xbox 360 and PS3, still not out for PC), Battlefield Bad Company 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360). Upcoming : Battlefield Bad Company 2 : Vietnam (Vietnam-era expansion pack, release somewhere in December), Battlefield 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, the game we all have huge hopes for, the most anticipated game in the series and hopefully the next big hit, release in Q3/Q4 2011, beta in Q1 2011). Warning : Bad Company 2 is very, and I mean very resource heavy.

On a more serious note : If you find a cheap copy of Battlefield 2, patch it up to 1.5 and get going. 28 tremendous maps (booster packs and Special Forces included), 64 player cap, good mods (Project Reality - obvious what it does, Forgotten Hope 2 - WW2 mod; just to count 2), jets, helicopters, tanks, APCs, boats...everything. Get the Special Forces expansion pack (included with Battlefiled 2 : Complete Collection DVD, which I found cheaper than the simple game !!!) and you get some more goodies to play with.

Protip : The outdated 1942 and Vietnam work in multiplayer even in "pirate mode". Though if you're a Battlefield fan, you have to buy them ;b Even if I sold them :lol

Medal of Honor 2010 if you have a PC that can run it (don't know if an 8600GT can do it) Requirements from the beta said :

Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7
Processor: Pentium D 3.0GHz / Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz / Athlon X2
Memory: 2GB
Hard Drive: 10 GB free HD space
Video Card (graphics): GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900 with 256MB memory

Or if you want some random action without minding the lag, camping and randomness you can always get alterIWnet's Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 with special servers doing the matchmaking instead of the shitty IWnet (Beware : this turns you into a pirate) (also, PROTIP : If you see a hacker, just leave.) http://alteriw.net/

Armed Assault, Armed Assault 2 / Armed Assault 2 : Operation Arrowhead in case you're into down to the bone realism and have a a very strong PC. Resource heavy, for a good reason.

Interested in any of these games ?

For MoH check my previous posts in this topic or www.medalofhonor.com
For older Battlefield games : Youtube, for Bad Company 2 : www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com
For CoD:MW2, you've probably seen enough videos spammed by Machinima in YouTube's "Featured" box.
For ArmA / ArmA 2 : Youtube

W O W....

I'll answer kinda quickly because I'm doing some serious shit here... But, damn, I missed A LOT. ahahahahhaha

I'll get some of these :D And see how it tastes... I'm really not caring much about running the newer ones all on FULL quality. Honestly, anything like CoD4 at medium already utter fucking amaze me.

This thing... the MoH2010 video scares me... damn real!!! o.O the graphics are astonishing.

About pc specs, all I can say is that I'm loving AA4x with 1280x800 in some games and shit that the warrior 8600GT can do.(I know its not a uber powerfull card but compared to my old piece of crap, you must admit, I'm in heaven... lol)

BUT, I'll be probably getting a new PSU (my generic 500w completelly sucks, I seriouslly fear that it fucks up the videocard) and then I'll try some OC, and better than that... getting a new videocard in a near future (9800GT or something like that)...

A GT240 512MB GDDR5 is any good?

If you're already there why not get a GT260 like Joe xD
Yeah it's good but mind the cash, if it's too expensive, don't bother.

Well, first I'll explore what my GF8600GT still has to offer.

But here, from what I can see, the cheapest next upgrades that are worthy, its the 9800GT and the GT240. But the 9800GT seems to be more worthy. Dunno.

Depends if you're buying the GT240 with 512 MB of memory or the one with 1024.

Beta was over a long time ago. Also, you needed a beta key.

My bad.

Also, Diego, or anyone else, in case you're interested in the history of DICE :

There are four episodes.

In case you're interesting the only thing Machinima ever did right ever since it's friggin' existence, here's a link with other episodes in the series, talking about Call of Duty, Halo, Valve software etc.
