I tried editing the CFG of the the einvagen trans to allow attachment to the 13b block, but it doesn't work

Do I need to edit the class files to allow the einvagen trans to connect to the 13b?

not a pro...but i think you dont need to adjust class files so a part can conect to another one...at least when i did this, it wasnt necessarry to edit the class files :)

How do I do it then? I've changed the CFG and it refuses to attach.

looking through the original 2.2.1 java's, It seems that the engine block limits what transmissions can be attached, meaning. Is this correct?

to be able to attach any part to any other package, if you don't want to add the parts in the rpk...

first you have to add the external link in the rdb

e.g.

then for example you want a part wich id it's 0x00000012 attach to a transmission in the Einvagen_Duhen_Ishima_Focer engine

in the cfg the attach slot should be

slot 0.075 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000 1 ;
compatible 0x00090200 1 <--- this should be the id of the transmission


the 9 is because the Einvagen_Duhen_Ishima_Focer engine is in the 9th position in the external link



that's why the ID of the default colours are 0x00020025 (e.g.) it's because it's the texture with the id 0025 in the 2nd external link

RDB? I'm confused! lol Sorry, need a bit more of a step by step on this. Again, just returning to SLRR after MANY years.

check the tutorials at gom, in there is all you need, there is a pack that have all kind of pdf with tutorials, and a pack with 3 videos that are really helpfull

You convert .rpk to .rdb for editing and then reconvert back to .rpk

okay, so I've opened up the 13B RPK.


I've added:

parts\engines\Einvagen_Duhen_Ishima_Focer

At the top of the RPK so that it can access the einvagen engine folder for the transmission


What's the next step in the RPK so that I can allow the engine block to attach the 110 gt transmission?
