I think its physics... deformable or something.

If you take Dirt 2 as a comparision, its terribly crap.

But if you think that they are motherfucking hipoly cars being damaged in a game that never had damage... ye, it looks ok. I think its not perfect, but does the job.

Looks like a combo of both, as it's not purely phys-based like GTA 4 nor purely scripted like NFS. So basically, this means the parts will deform, but each part will be treated as an individual piece rather than something "stuck" to the car and the whole thing treated as...a whole...

Sounds and looks good, but it's far from perfect judging by the screens.

You know, ignoring genres, I'd say f**k Crysis, f**k Crysis 2, f**k Bad Company 2, f**k everything, because this looks better. However, common sense does tell me it's a lot easier to make a racing game look and feel good than a first person shooter as it has much less features, less objects in need of animation, less particle effects etc. etc.

But the weather is just...wow...

Yea yea... you'll always find something wrong my beloved friend... :P

We know there are A LOT of things wrong... that only will be solved on GT6...

But for now, I'm really ultra-satisfied with what I've seen. And I'll enjoy GT5...

After seeing these weather effects... sorry... new hardware for M$ console... or its hopeless... graphics-wise...

The difference with Polyphony Digital (GT developer) and Kazunori Yamauchi (GT creator) it's that they are honest...

He even said that, in a full grid with 15 cars and full racing effects, rain sprays on racing starts and stuff, they can't make the fps stay steady at 60fps... but they did their best and I bet it won't drop more than 10fps... That's pretty honest... saying that. A good attitude. And he said they are working more on the sounds too.

But cmon... I would go for dropping the opponents count from 16 to 8 and having these full effects... its enough.

M$ isn't planning on getting oudated PC components again and assembling them together a.k.a. building a new console anytime soon, and I have reasons to believe that.

I have reasons to believe they will focus more on PC, since Windows 7 is by far the most stable and efficient gaming platform so far, and because they said that a couple of months ago. Also, Reach is the last Halo title from Bungie. That's another clue that says the X360 is not powerful enough (as Halo : Reach, BFBC2 or Forza 3 really push the X360 to it's absolute limits) nor is M$ planning on building a more powerful console.

which ads up that there will be more money to be spend by M$ on making another GOD DAMNED FLIGHT SIMULATOR :@ because if they dont ill rob their place. :o

and im hoping that with WD7 game makers like SimBin (who create REAL SIMS, not cheap trash like rFactor.. or LFS) focus their minds leave NFS behind them and get the GT5 mixed with FM3 vibe and build themselfs an MAJORLY AWESOME game which will make PROFIT?!? and thus alot of happy people. :)

Won't drop more than 10 FPS ? Honestly, W T F ? 30 is unplayable already (on PC at least). Honesty is one thing, but why even bother if you know it'll lag so bad ?

And the PS3 is also outdated, just saying. DICE claimed they had to severely cut map sizes and objects (most notably only keeping 20% of Arica Harbor's initially planned city part, due to hardware limitations. Mostly because of PS3 and X360, but a mid-range PC like mine couldn't really run that properly either...)

he meant from 60 steady fps it will only drop 10, and seeing the human eye cant see more 25-26FPS its kinda useless :] hence my games are always playable if the FPS is 30.

games like FSX are actually VERY playable between 15-20fps i dunno why but its as smooth as 30 :o
