So I'm getting ready to build my second mid range gaming rig, and I'm looking for a decent mobo for around $100. This is what has my eye so far. It's the ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+ I wanna stick with an AMD board I know that. Does anyone have any suggestions if they know of a good one for around the same price?

Well, if your willing to go a bit more for a lot more bang for your buck, I'd try and go with what I have, an Gigabyte GA990FXA-UD5, one of the best for AMD. And uses the 990 chipset instead of the 970.

Thanks. This one looks promising. If I can manage to find the cash somewhere this will probably be the one I get. I better start whoring myself out now lol

Well imo you should get the one I said before, it's more updated and besides you won't have to upgrade any time soon. But the choice is yours. :)

This is better option than 970 ... much better... and for low budget

I've decided to go with the ASRock 990FX. Right now newegg has a special offer of 8gigs of ram for free if you buy that board, so in the end it saved me $20 bucks. Thanks for the help guys ^_^
